Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

The following Program Learning Outcomes define the competencies for the degree program.

A. Patient Care

  • A1 Integrate medical knowledge and clinical skills in the provision of health care
  • A2 Conduct a clear and complete medical history and complete physical examination
  • A3 Identify and accurately record normal and abnormal patterns and patient problems (physical, intellectual and social)
  • A4 Demonstrate the ability of extracting pertinent information from medical records
  • A5 Assess and interpret data incorporating clinical data, laboratory results and radiological findings
  • A6 Generate and prioritize a differential diagnosis list
  • A7 Identify required investigations to reach a provisional diagnosis
  • A8 Analyze underlying etiology and understand pathophysiological mechanisms of disease
  • A9 Formulate management plans for common conditions
  • A10 Demonstrate competence in triage in urgent and primary care settings and deal with emergent scenarios

B. Communication
